JANUARY 2011 - Commerce City, Colorado

In 2007 Westminster AFC hosted a round-robin Coaches Showcase for a number of Colorado's top under 17-18 boys teams over two days. Since this time the WAFC Colorado Friendlies has evolved into an annual event offering showcase level play for high school boys and girls teams in Colorado. The event has been conceived to create the opportunity for top Colorado soccer talent to play in front of college coaches, and prepare for their coming league and State Cup competitions. The event features an exhibition format and emphasizes its role in creating a "stage" for the player seeking to play in college and beyond.

2011 Event Format

The 2011 WAFC North-South Colorado Friendlies will mark the second year that this event will involve top level girls teams. We are seeking to accept 12 boys and 12 girls teams in the U16-18 age divisions. Applications will be posted in September 2010 for the January event.
