In 2007, Westminster AFC hosted a round-robin Coaches Showcase for eight of Colorado's top under 17-18 boys teams over two days. Since this time, the WAFC Colorado Friendlies has evolved into an annual event offering showcase level play for 20 high school boys and girls teams.
The WAFC Colorado Friendlies has evolved into an annual showcase event tailored within the premise of providing a platform for top level regional soccer talent to play in front of college coaches, and to prepare for their coming league and State Cup competitions. This event is about the players first and foremost. The event features an exhibition format affording 3x80 minute games, each officiated by a full crew of referees. Our goal and format emphasize that this is about creating a stage for the player seeking to play in college and beyond.
