Paul hails from Lisburn, N. Ireland, where he began his playing career with Lisburn Youth before moving on to play amateur soccer at Crewe United. He studied at the University of Ulster, N.Ireland, where he played for two seasons. Before becoming the Director of Coaching for WAFC, Paul was DOC for the Pikes Peak Soccer Club in Colorado Springs, Colorado for three years. He currently holds the USSF B license, and UEFA B part one license. Paul currently serves as a head coach in the Colorado Olympic Development Program.

Mark joins the WAFC competitive staff after having served as WAFC Academy Assistant with the Club's Academy program since 2008. Mark brings an impressive playing and coaching resume with him, including experience in the international ranks with Northern Ireland, collegiate experience at Metro State and recent experience in both the Academy program and as an assistant coach at Metro State since graduating. Mark holds his USSF B license.

Adam Loovis, Assistant DOC & Club Coach Junior Girls
Adam attended Cleveland Heights High School outside of Cleveland, Ohio where he was team MVP, All- League, and All-Greater Cleveland his senior year. He was a player for the Internationals Soccer Club of Ohio, and represented Ohio North as a member of the U-17 Olympic Development Team. Adam played for the University of Maine where he lettered three seasons, and earned his degree in Biology. He also was Assistant Coach for the Durango High School Girls Varsity 1999-2002, and served as an Assistant Director of Coaching for Durango United, in Durango, Colorado for 5 years before joining WAFC. Adam currently holds a USSF B license.

Jim brings 15 years of coaching experience to WAFC. He received his Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology with a Minor in Theory of Coaching, from Western State College. Jim also received his Colorado Teacher Certification K-12. His coaching licensing includes the NSCAA Advanced National Diploma. Many of his players have been placed in College programs in and out of state. He places a heavy emphasis on building his players work rate, discipline, and teamwork as skills to be used throughout their lives.

Nik comes to Westminster AFC after spending the last several years as a staff coach for Littleton United. Nik has coached both boys and girls, ranging in age from 8-18. As a player, he won a State Cup, four high school varsity letters, and represented Colorado in the U-16-17 ODP program. Nik also has three years of Division 1 college playing experience, and played in the PDL. He currently holds the NSCAA Advanced National, USSF C, FA Psychology for Soccer Level 1. Nik has several former players in college programs throughout the country.

Pete was born in Durham, England, where he played in the Sunderland Association Football Club youth system. Pete began his coaching career with Sunderland, working with its school of excellence program in developing and identifying players for the senior team. At the same time, Pete was working for his local county FA, for whom he took responsibility for implementing the small sided soccer program in local sport centers. Pete graduated from Sunderland University in 1998 with a BSC (Hons) in Sports Science. Upon coming to the U.S, Pete worked as Director of Coaching at Littleton Soccer Club for 7 years, winning a state championship and representing Colorado as an ODP head coach. Pete now works as a coach instructor for the NSCAA and holds the highest levels of professional coaching certification in the U.S, the NSCAA Premier Diploma with distinction, the NSCAA National Youth Diploma, the USSF A and USSF Youth licenses.

Eric Filonowich, WAFC Goalkeeper Coach
Eric was born in Westminster, Colorado and has played soccer for the better than 30 years. During that time Eric won a state championship, played abroad in Germany and was recognized as both All Conference and All League as a senior at nearby Regis University. Eric has served as the Goalkeeping coach for the Wheatridge Avalanche soccer club from 2002-2008 before joining the WAFC Academy in 2008 as the program's Academy Goalkeeper Trainer. Eric currently holds the NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma.

Tyler Strom, WAFC Goalkeeper Coach
Tyler brings an extensive playing background including having played with the University of Memphis from 2004-2007, the Boulder Rapids Reserves of the Premier Development League (PDL) from 2004-2006, and as a youth player with Rosairo Central a first division side in Argentina. Tyler has been coaching goalkeepers for many years in the Memphis and Denver areas, including his most recent stint as the goalkeepers coach at Broomfield Blast. Tyler holds his USSF National D License.
